I had to run over to our local big box supply store after dinner and the wind is total mayhem. Returned to my car and as I'm gettin in I hear a smash like cars hitting. Turn around and it's an escaped shopping cart blazing across the parking lot. It had just bounced off the H.D. 'Rent Me' pickup and was tearing off down the aisle in between cars. There weren't a lot of cars in the lot so it had lots of room to pick up speed. I dropped my things, sprinted after it, corralled the speedy runaway and steered it back into the protected cart storage thingy.
I'm sure the guy who parked his new(ish) Camaro down at the end of the aisle appreciates what I did! It was headed right for it!

I needed a shopping cart stopping hero a few months ago to prevent this. WHERE WERE YOU?!

I was having drinks with Lois Lane, sorry about that. Ouch, that sucks. It's amazing the speed this thing was traveling!
